Halloween 2012

Halloween 2012 was a busy day but we managed to get home and to trick or treat and hand out candy.

 Our Skylander and Minnie Mouse.

Allison having some fun with her trick or treat bag.
Nathan took Allison through the neighborhood and Aaron went with our neighbors.  I handed out candy at the house.
Our busy girl that rarely is still.
Eating supper between trick or treaters.

Halloween was a full day of activities.  I did not get pictures of Aaron like I usually do.  He went with some neighbors and we thought he would have more fun.

9 Months

Nine months! It is hard to believe our little princess is 9 months old. From the start she has been precious:) I was a little nervous about having a girl. Aaron was and is so so sweet! I was not sure a girl would be so sweet. Well, I was wrong.
We have had a baby sleeping through the night to one that wakes up sometimes every two hours. Her big brother did that also but every hour and a half. She started this when she got her DOC Band. But of course, the first night with it, she woke up around midnight screaming in pain. She had her first ear infection. Since then, she has been battling similar symptoms and now is on her second bot of ear infections. Going to weekly, to twice a month DOC Band appointments has made me learn to drive some in Dallas. To most, this is not a big deal but to me it is. Previously, I had only driven in Dallas about 3 times after buying vehicles. Physical therapy . . . well, it started out okay but then had several weeks of horrible when she went. Very heart wrenching as a mother. My first instinct was to crab her and go! Nine months has brought many new experiences and adventures.
We now cannot imagine our lives without our little girl, Allison. She brings an extra delight and happiness to our family. The boys jockey for her attention. Bless her heart, I see me having to step in and help her out when she gets older. A very protective big brother and a daddy that is over the moon with her:)
In nine months, she is baby "talking", crawling, standing and walking with assistance. Loves her toys, especially Elmo. From telephones, shoes, and remote controls it is so fun watching her play. From the start, she knows what she wants with a mind of her own. Allison is already fussing at us, oh, my. Getting into trouble as she explores her world. I just love this! She keeps me busy. I had prayed that one day, I would get the opportunity to chase another baby around our house. We are blessed and humbled that God has given us a beautiful baby girl to chase around.

A Friday Out

Friday was Allison's DOC Band adjustment day in Dallas.  Since it was not a late appointment, we decided to make a day of it.  After the appointment, we headed to North Park for some lunch.  I am not real big on Chinese food and the other times we tried to eat at a P. F. Chang's, it was a really long wait.  Nathan has been been to one on several occasions through business.  I had Lo Mein and it was the best Chinese I have had to eat in a long time.  Aaron even liked their chicken but not the honey sauce.  Allison had her peach yogurt for the day.  After lunch, I did some quick shopping, so we could have enough time at the Children's Aquarium at Fair Park.

The last time I was at this aquarium, I was probably Aaron's age.  They have remodeled since then.

Stingray Bay was a big hit.  Aaron got to touch the stingrays.

Daddy and Allison watching from the deck.

After the Aquarium, we walked around the pond at Fair Park.  Aaron enjoyed the squid sculptor in the water.  I might have the name wrong.

After Fair Park, we ate in Forney and then headed toward home.  I had not made it to see the new Collin Street Bakery in Lindale.  So, that is where we picked up dessert.  The day had gone great with no incidents but we were not "home", yet.  Allison woke up after we got in the car at Collin Street.  She was not happy and nothing would work.  About the time we made it to the Methodist Church, she was so mad that she threw up.  Of course, Aaron starts freaking out.  If you know my son, that can be a treat, also.  We got everything taken care of and made it home.
